Petrified palm root cab ~
Offered here is an unusual collector's cabochon of birdseye petrified palm root, newly arrived GEM material from Sumatra. This outstanding fossil wood is a fascinating piece of the earth's natural history. This example has a remarkable pattern of windblown eyes contrasting nicely with jet black areas, showing a variety of woodgrain, along with a couple tiny pools of translucent bluish agate. Plenty of visual interest here, very unique! No fossil collection is complete without a nice example of this amazing new palm root. But it ought to make a fabulous item of jewelry too. -smile- The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a brilliant polish both front and back.
