Red horn coral cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of fossilized red horn coral, from Utah. Horn corals are actually ancient sea life, and you can clearly see the organic nature of this once-living coral in the highly translucent agate. It has the classic 'radiating spoke' figure overlaid by a scattering of tiny bullseyes in its core. The color is a pleasant shade of coral pink ringed with red. Front and center for this one! The stone has a high rounded dome of 7.5mm, a plump teardrop shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
