Silver in cobaltite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of native silver in cobaltite, from the Cobalt, Ontario, Canada mine. This is a collectibly rare material you definitely won't see everyday, and it's very expensive and difficult to obtain. It has a very high precious silver content, and certainly looks the part, being amazingly heavy for its size. The cab took a decently shiny polish, and although the surface may appear bumpy in the photos. Very reflective and brilliant under the light. It has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a bold designer 'spearhead' shape, polished both front and back.
