Turritella agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of turritella agate, from Wyoming. This ancient fossilized material is stacked full of shells, but features one large shell showing cells filled with a mix of sparkly crystalline quartz and pale bluish agate. Turritella agate was never a favorite of mine until a few years back, when a rockhound friend shared some of this great old solid stuff with me. It's a joy to work with, fine enough to take an excellent glassy shine. I'm sure you'll like it too, give it a try! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 7mm, and a crisp designer shape that's polished both front and back.
