Morgan Hill poppy jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality poppy jasper, from the famous Morgan Hill, CA. location, no longer open to collecting. This eye-catching example features an interesting pattern of contrasting bullseye figures in bright crimson against muted yellow, with a streak of snow white quartz/agate. It does have a couple of the typical hairlines common to this collectible material, but each is well healed and fine, so the stone is quite sound. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of nearly 5mm, and a designer 'spearhead' shape, polished both front and back.
