Rainforest jasper cab ~
Offered here is a primo cabochon of Australia's rainforest 'jasper'. It features an almost-craquelure pattern in light and dark avocado green shades, giving it an antiqued look that many find attractive. There are also several orbs and larger embedded thundereggs with yellow opalite cores. This beautiful material is actually highly silicated rhyolite, Australia's version of ocean jasper or butterfly wing jasper, I suppose. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
