Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is an interesting cabochon of Montana agate, cut from agate found long ago on a gravel bar in the Yellowstone River. This example has an arrangement of bands that, to my eye, very much resemble a stalk of wheat. This stone shows off even more when backlit, as seen in the last photo, with nice carnelian/brown coloration. It has a low rounded dome, a graceful 'flame' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
