Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of larimar, a rare blue variety of gem pectolite from the only known source in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. I wish I had purchased a LOT more rough when I had the chance, because the price has certainly climbed steadily over the years. This extra gemmy example has gorgeous blue coloration, with some neat sagenitic-looking spikes at one side, and boasts several lovely patches of silky chatoyance. This stone has a high rounded dome of 8mm, a versatile pillow shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
