King cobra jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from king cobra jasper, from India. This material arrived a few years ago now with pleasantly tropical hues, quite unlike the cobra jasper I'd seen before, which is drab by comparison. The new stuff is far more exciting. This example is mango shading to coral and olive, with a few black threads and gold ribbons. There are a couple dabs of crimson red, and some spidery dendrites too. One snowy pool composed of a quartz blend adds to the contrast. Try a cab of this delightful jasper, I'm sure you'll be pleased! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
