Dinosaur Bone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with bluish agate, with some showing light blue cores. The cells are framed by remnants of the actual cell walls, now a contrasting reddish-maroon in color, with black, forever frozen in time. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a designer shape, finished with a glassy polish both front and back.
