Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of rare Marra Mamba tigereye, from Australia. This coveted material is quite chatoyant, with a bright rolling flash you just can't miss, even in these flat digital photos. The colors are mostly blue with a bit of golden yellow that blends into a more greenish shade. The bands and metallic patch at one side are actually quite shiny to the eye, though the camera records them as being dark. The jasper that's present is also rather colorful, including areas that are ochre, olive green, blood red, and dark midnight blue. It's an awesome example anyone would be proud to own. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a bold designer shape, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back. My per carat price is a steal of a deal!
