Imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This old spiderwebbed material is simply marvelous stuff, another member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. This one has a lot going on in it, so it's probably best described by the photos. I particuarly like the old ivory shades, dual patterns, and the translucence of the deepest green areas. This one's a keeper! The stone has a well rounded dome of 5+mm, a designer 'scallop' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
