Turquoise cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of spiderweb turquoise, from China. This example has aqua blue coloration with a blackish matrix forming the webs. No doubt this material has been stabilized by some hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It polished like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without changing over the years. The cab has a low rounded dome of 4.5mm, and a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
