Navajo splash jasper cab suite ~
Offered here is a matching trio of cabochons of Navajo splash jasper, which hails from Durango, Mexico. We snagged only a few choice slabs of this material a couple years back, and after working with it, wish I'd have gotten more. Very interesting stuff! The cabs are jet black with wide criss-crossing veins of earthy reddish brown, a bit more mauve than the color of fine pipestone. Some of the veins are accented by thin orange streaks. The large designer 'diamond' has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, while the smaller pair of triangles are 5mm in thickness. Each of the three stones has a surprisingly good polish both front and back.
