Morgan Hill poppy jasper cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of poppy jasper, from the famous Morgan Hill, CA. location, no longer open to collecting. This stone has a pleasing pattern of subtly ringed orbs in brown and burnt yellowagainst a red background. The largest orb is splite by a wide vein of quartz-agate, and happily, and odd lines are quite well healed; there are none of the open fractures so common to this collectible material. The cab has a rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a bold designer shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
