Pilbara jasper cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Pilbara jasper, from Australia. This material certainly cuts striking stones, with contrast a plenty. This example has mostly yellow and orange streaks, with a few in rose and reddish hues, against a background of black. The artful criss-crossing road map pattern really catches the eye, and I think it has a boatload of designer potential. If you do too, grab it and make it yours!! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6.5mm, and a designer 'catseye' shape, polished both front and back.
