Morgan Hill poppy jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality poppy jasper, from the famous Morgan Hill, CA. location, no longer open to collecting. This eye-catching example features an outstanding pattern of contrasting bullseye figures in muted yellow, and bright crimson, in a brick red background. It does have a couple of the typical hairlines common to this collectible material, but each is well healed and fine, so the stone is quite solid. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and a crisp designer 'spear' shape, polished both front and back.
