Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of ocean jasper, from Madagascar. Ocean jasper never fails to amaze me with its endless variations! Sadly, there are no plans for any further harvesting at the original source. This unusual example is of the agate variety, and shows a lovely semi-translucence. It has a row of fancy bullseyes that intrigue the eye, a couple of which show orangecenters radiating tiny crystal pseudomorphs, like the petals of green flowers. The stone has a low rounded dome of 4.5mm, and a graceful designer shape, highly polished both front and back.
