Pigeon blood agate cab ~
Offered here is a large collector's cabochon of rare pigeon blood agate, also known as cornelian, from Utah. This gemmy beauty is a real treasure, containing an impressive cluster of the much sought after "olives", in lime/yellow with dark brownish maroon "pimentos" at their centers. The olives stand out beautifully against a bright orange blush, suspended within a surprisingly translucent agate background. It's quite a unique cab, and I think you'll search a long time to find another as unique as this one is. It has a high and well rounded dome of 7mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a brilliantly gleaming polish both front and back.
