yellow opal cab ~
Offered here is a matching trio of cabochons of GORGEOUS yellow opal. I suspect this originated near Napa, California, as it seems exactly like some other opal I have from that source. This material is deemed "common" opal because it has no fire, but it is anything but common in the other sense of the term. These examples feature gemmy translucent lemon yellow coloration, with inclusions of tiny white dots, a lot like champagne bubbles, rising through the stones. The largest cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, while the smaller pair are 4mm in thickness. Each of the three stones has a crisp designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 42x23mm, 21x11mm
Weight: approximately 35 carats total
