Mawsitsit cab ~
Offered here is a vivid cabochon of mawsitsit, from Myanmar (Northern Burma), the sole location where it is found. Collectibly rare and very highly prized, this dazzling jadeite material owes its brilliant emerald coloration to the presence of chromium, and this stone is a fabulous example. It has the most wildly intense greens I've ever seen in any natural rock, with a swirling, almost velvety look. It's a simply outstanding treasure, sure to attract attention in any type of setting you can dream up. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefuly curved designer drop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back. A steal of a deal at just over $2 a carat!
