Imperial cab ~
Offered here is a long cabochon of imperial jasper, from Mexico. This cab was cut from grand old material, part of an old stash of porcelain jasper I've been hoarding. It has an almost banded look, with the stripes following the curve around the stone, in shades of muted pink, mauve, burnt orange and slate gray. It's a beauty! The stone has a rounded dome of 5.5mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
