Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of flame agate, from California. The exact locale is not known because the old label said only "California flame", but it's certain beautiful material. It has an intriguing display of flame-like plumes in the appropriate crimson, rose and pinkish hues. Kind of candy apple colors, very pleasing. The background is a highly translucent blend of agate and quartz, and has a peppering of tiny metallic flecks. The sparkly quartz area resembles crushed ice, and includes a few open sparkly crystalline vugs (and others beneath the surface), adding much to the stone's character. Gorgeous! The cab has a crisp designer shape, a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
