King cobra jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from king cobra jasper, from India. This material arrived a couple years ago now with deliciously bright tropical hues, quite unlike the cobra jasper I'd seen before, which is drab by comparison. The new stuff is light years more exciting. This example is mostly mango orange to golden yellow, with edgings of crimson framing whitish orbs. The light spots are composed of a quartz blend, adding interest despite some undercutting, along with a great display of spidery black dendrites. Try a cab of this delightful jasper, I'm sure you'll be thrilled! The stone has a well rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a fabulous polish both front and back.
