Offered here is a matching set of three cabochons, cut from premium old stock parrot wing jasper, from Mexico. This delightful jasperized chrysocolla is becoming very difficult to find, and spendy too, unlike the more common copper complexes so often substituted for it and erroneously dubbed 'parrot wing'. These are the real deal, folks. These unique beauties have VIVID lime greens, with a few blushes & threads of turquoise blue and small flecks of brown. The striking greens very much remind me of gaspeite, and they are every bit as vibrant as the photos depict, perhaps even moreso. I really enjoy cabbing this classic material for use in my own jewelry; it's beautifully colored, very solid, and there's seldom any difficulty achieving a slick, glassy shine. Each of the three stones has a designer 'leaf' shape, a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
