Bruneau jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Bruneau Canyon jasper, from Idaho. It features a trio of half orbs, stacked one in front of the other, in rich shades of creamy peach. The orbs contrast nicely against a gemmy burnt orange background, partially translucent. Sadly, the best of this hard porcelain-like jasper is becoming alarmingly scarce and spendy these days. Bruneau jasper remains a classic favorite, and I love the stuff! It takes an outrageously glassy polish, and is sought after by collectors and designers alike. The stone has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, and a gracefully elegant designer drop shape, perfectly polished both front and back.
