Chopstick agate~
Offered here is a cabochon of chopstick agate, from China's Gobi desert. This fascinating lattice agate material is brand new to my studio, fresh from this year's Tucson show. This example is loaded with stick figures in lemon chiffon and grayish-blue going every which way, creating a lattice pattern that very much resembles hoarfrost. Character to spare! I think this new agate will make excellent jewelry, and hope you'll be encouraged to find out. The stone has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a fun designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
