Agua Nueva agate cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe collector's cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, cut from hand-selected Mexican rough direct from the fellow who mined it. I often find that I favor this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This example has delicious pinkish raspberry coloration, and a pair of fancy fortification patterns, one of which encloses a sparkling crystal pocket. The bands include a scattering of tiny dots that often characterize many collectible Mexican agates, a tube, and filaments of orange moss. The stone is very gemmy and translucent, so there is a nice dimension of depth to it. Gorgeous! It has a high rounded dome of 8mm, a versatile designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
