Noreena jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of noreena jasper, a relative newcomer from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The color and figure reminds me of mungina stone, which is rather soft, but this well silicated noreena jasper is harder, with an even wilder pattern. The deep reddish orange frames 'windows' of mauve, and it's highlighted with flaming strokes of yellow. I think it'll be attractive in even the simplest of settings. Give it a try! This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and an elegant designer shape that is polished both front and back.
