Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a large deluxe cabochon of Montana agate, cut from agate found long ago on a gravel bar in the Yellowstone River. This particular piece was selected from an old stash of 5 gallon buckets full I lucked into, which I very much enjoyed rummaging through last summer. The agate is quite clear, with a series of ribbony bands in a scalloped pattern. The. This stone shows off even more when backlit, as seen in the last photo, with some turtlebacking. It has a low rounded dome, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
