Cheetah agate cab ~
Offered here is a matching trio of cheetah agate cabochons, a newly imported material that hails from Brazil. Apparently, this agate is a by-product of an apatite mining operation. These three examples have a nice display of blackish dendrites against a background of burnt orange. It is partially translucent when backlit, as illustrated by the last photo. There are a few tiny pits to be aware of, mostly on the backside. The large cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, while the smaller pair are 5mm in thickness. Each of the three is highly polished both front and back.
