Rutilated quartz cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fancy rutilated quartz, from Brazil, some of the best I've ever had to work with. It features beautifully flashy needles of bright golden rutile, scattered like jackstraws. The quality I like most about it is the stone's remarkable depth, created by the many needles criss-crossing every which way. The water clear quartz really shows off this stone's golden inclusions, with very little 'fairy frost'.And you should see how dazzling the rutile looks in direct sunlight, just like threads of spun gold! It has a beautifully rounded dome of 7+mm, and a slick, glassy all-over polish.
