Madagascar agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of dendritic agate, from Madagascar. This stone features several elongated white finger-like tubes, outlined with ghostly fortifications. Otherwise it's a lot like the more familiar Montana agate, with dark inky scalloped ribbons in a yellowish translucent base. The stone has a nice dimension of depth that I find pleasing, and an odd mix of subtle shades of color. I think it'll make an extraordinary item of jewelry, or a fine addition to your aggie collection. The cab has a rounded dome of 5mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
