Madagascar agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of dendritic agate, from Madagascar. This stone features extra large tubes, edged with scalloped ribbons, in a translucent base. This variety of agate very much reminds me of Montana agate, with similar coloration as well as inky black dendrites. It is particularly striking when backlit, as shown by the last photo. I think it'll make an extraordinary item of jewelry, or a fine addition to your aggie collection. The cab has a low rounded dome, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
