Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon cut from laguna lace agate, from Mexico. This cab is a remarkably dramatic example, featuring bullseyes, tubes and fortification patterns at one side, with smoky agate on the other. There are some sagenitic bursts in the dark area, which is surprisingly translucent. In fact, much of the stone is as well, and the eyes seem to float on the surface. The total effect is striking, making this one a keeper. The stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
