Sonora sunrise chrysocolla cab ~
Offered here is a vibrant cabochon of Sonora sunrise chrysocolla, from Mexico. This fabulous material has striking colors, all 100% natural. This example has the usual turquoise blue chrysocolla and bright crimson red cuprite combination with a few dabs of green. In hand, some areas of the red in the wide end of the stone exhibit a purplish metallic sheen, which can be glimpsed in the photos. That tends to make the surface appear bumpy, though it is quite smooth. If you want eye catching stones, Sonora Sunrise really should be on your list; it's loaded with designer potential, commanding attention easily. I think you'll do great things with this one! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp designer 'spear' shape, and an excellent glossy polish both front and back.
