Flowering tube oynx cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of top quality flowering tube onyx, from Utah. This material is simply stunning in its complex and varied patterns. This example has gorgeous flowery plumes and orbs in slate blue-gray edged with wild concentric bandings in orange and black, with contrast aplenty. There are a couple tiny voids but very few of the hairlines that typically plague this onyx. The coloration somehow reminds me of Autumn, but this cab is sure to attract attention no matter what the season. The stone has a rounded dome of 6mm, a designer teardrop shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
