Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from laguna lace agate, from Mexico. This cab is a fascinating example, with a zig-zagging 'dogtooth' pattern composed of terminated crystal pseudomorphs, which are thinly accented in crimson. Plus, there are attractive fortifications with a sagenitic burst, and a patch of tiny bullseyes grouped together in pastel lemon & peach. There are a couple of well-healed hairlines present, but this beauty's quite sound. It should be a breeze setting it to best show it off. The stone has a well rounded dome of 7mm, a designer 'drop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
