Sunstone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of sunstone, from Oregon. This sparkling and gemmy member of the feldspar family features translucent peachy coloration, with rolling flashes of brilliant copper shiller. Amazingly beautiful! There are a few ghostly veils present, very typical of this material, all of which seem to be in one flat layer plane. Easily forgiveable as the shiller conceals that well, as you can see in the face up photo. This cab is small but mighty, with an almost sculpted shape, a very high peaked dome of 6mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
