Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of ocean jasper, from Madagascar. Ocean jasper never fails to amaze me with its endless variations! Sadly, there are no plans for any further harvesting at the original source. This unusual example is of the agate variety, and shows a lovely translucence. It has a single orange-centered bullseye, radiating tiny crystal pseudomorphs like the petals of a green flower. They stand out nicely against a ribbon of white lace, complete with its own tiny orbs and bullseyes. On either side of that is an almost water clear area, and another of peachy chiffon with dusty rose accents. The stone has a low rounded dome, and a fun designer shape, highly polished both front and back.
