Carey moss agate cab ~
Offered here is a Carey moss agate cabochon, from Idaho. Well ok, it's not the red plume agate from Oregon you're probably more familiar with, but it does have plumes. Rather unique plumes in delicate shades of green, at that, which are something of a rarity in the rock world. This particular example is very much like the white plume from Stinking Water Pass, but that's common by comparison. A lovely translucent agate base shows the plumes off beautufully here, though I somehow neglected to take a backlit photo. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, perfectly polished to a 'wet ice' finish both front and back.
