Willow Creek jasper cab ~
Offered here is a remarkable cabochon of Willow Creek jasper, from Idaho. Affectionately dubbed the queen of jaspers, this material certainly deserves its reputation among the classic porcelain jaspers. It's a long time favorite in my studio, and typically quite challenging to select worthy rough by looking at their outsides. The piece this was cut from was a delightful surprise when I sawed into it. It's some of the best I've ever offered! This stone has a smoky palette that inludes complimentary pinks, mauve and creamy chiffon pastels of yellow, gold and green. Plus black dendrites! But it's the abstract pattern of streamers and tendrils that truly set this one apart. It's absolutely GORGEOUS, by anyone's standards. Some areas of the stone show a degree of semi-translucence... so if you like this enchanting beauty, be sure to grab it and make it yours! It has a very nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully fluid designer 'flame' shape, and a gleaming polish both front and back.
