Tabu Tabu jasper cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of tabu tabu, also sometimes called 'smoke and embers' jasper, or forest fire jasper, from Africa. It has a brecciated pattern similar to Stone Canyon jasper, only in bright crimson red with patches of gray, white and pink, contrasting strongly against charcoal black. It's easy to see how this jasper got its name; the warm hues are indeed much like the hot glowing embers of a fire. Awesome!! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6+mm and a designer 'spearhead' shape, polished both front and back.
