Ochoco tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality Ochoco tube agate, the old collectible kind. I enjoy making doublets, but this example already had plenty of depth and character without any black backing. It features an attractive display of well defined finger-like tubes rising up to the surface, with their lengths clearly visible within the translucent agate gel. The tops of the tubes in cross section have a subtle lace pattern, and one visitor said they remind her of angel's wings. This cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a graceful 'flame' shape, with a great glassy polish both front and back.
