Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Montana agate, cut from agate found long ago on a gravel bar of the Yellowstone River. This particular piece was selected from an old stash of 5 gallon buckets full I lucked into, which I very much enjoyed rummaging through last summer. The agate is quite clear, and contains inky black and orange ribbony bands on edge. I see the profile of a water bird in this stone, what do you see? The cab has a low rounded dome of 3mm, a versatile designer shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
