Cherry Creek jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of material called Cherry Creek jasper, which hails from China. I'm told only relatively small quantities were brought to the U.S., so I feel fortunate to have snagged a small assortment of the very prettiest slabs available. This example has wild figure in blue and blue-green with mottled orange and red blotches. Several sub-metallic dark brown lines criss-cross through the stone, making the pattern appear quite artistic. Very appealing stuff, to say the least, and I think this one'll make an outstanding item of jewelry. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 7mm, a sleek designer shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
