Offered here is a cabochon of butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a much sought after classic, and mighty tough to come by these days, in any quality. This stone is a delightful example of grand old material, with wildly varied figure, including patches of smoky gray agate pools and streaks. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a versatile designer 'chevron' shape, a 5mm dome, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
