Parrot wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a small cabochon of premium old stock parrot wing jasper, from Mexico. This delightful jasperized chrysocolla is becoming scarce, unlike the more common copper complexes frequently substituted for it. This is the real deal, folks. It features a mottled 'dragon skin' pattern in several shades of turquoise blue, spring and malachite green, with a few splashes of dark maroon red cuprite. Nice spidery sky blue threads too. It's every bit as vivid as the photos depict, very hard material that started polishing in the early sanding stages. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a fun designer 'scallop' shape, and a smooth, glossy shine both front and back.
