Tabu Tabu jasper cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of tabu tabu, also sometimes called 'smoke and embers' jasper, or forest fire jasper, from Africa. It has a brecciated pattern a lot like Stone Canyon jasper, only in bright crimson red with some patches of gray and buff, with pale gray and white quartz/agate down the center. I can see how it got its name; the warm hues are indeed much like the hot glowing embers of a fire. Awesome!! However, it's not perfect: There are a few odd hairlines present, though they're easily overlooked. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm and a plump designer drop shape, polished both front and back.
