Priday plume agate ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the old Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This captivating stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely blessed to be allowed to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone has a remarkable display of ornate plumes and mosses suspended in a translucent agate background that shows them off beautifully. The stone is like a portal on an underwater scene, and the colorful plumes appear to grow from a rocky outcrop, surprisingly similar to real corals in a tidepool, wafting in the current. Tendrils of moss frame one tiny druzy dot below the surface has a bit of sparkle, adding character. This stone is truly an amazing treasure that anyone would be proud to own. It has a low rounded dome, a crisp designer 'spearhead' shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
